Tasting Experiences

Welcome to Upper Bench, an artisanal Canadian winery located on the renowned Naramata Bench. As one of the premier wineries in Penticton, we are committed to providing you with a truly memorable experience that showcases the best of both of our crafts, wine and cheese making.

Wine & Cheese Tasting

Inside stand up bar experience – $15/pp

Join us at our tasting room bar for a delightful introduction to four of our award-winning, seasonally selected wines, expertly paired with our onsite, handcrafted cheese. As our knowledgeable staff guide you through this experience, you’ll enjoy a casual yet refined atmosphere. This tasting is priced at $15 per guest and is waived with the purchase of one bottle of wine.

First stand-up bar tasting is at 11:00 AM.

Last stand-up bar tasting is at 5:30 PM.

Outside seated Estate tasting – $25/pp

For a more elevated experience, indulge in our exclusive seated Estate tasting (19+ only). This intimate tasting features a selection of our premium wines, paired perfectly with our handcrafted cheese. Set in our comfortable, shaded, and misted outdoor patio, you will be surrounded by breathtaking vineyard views. This curated tasting is designed to be both educational and enjoyable, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the Upper Bench experience. Priced at $25 per guest, this fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles of wine.

First seated Estate tasting is at 11:00 AM.

Last seated tasting is at 5:15 PM.

Reservations

While reservations are not yet required, we highly recommend securing your spot to ensure a seamless experience. For those who wish to drop in for a quick tasting, we will do our utmost to accommodate you.

To book your tasting, please email info@upperbench.ca with the date, time, and number of guests in your party. Please note that bookings will be held for 10 minutes after your reservation before being released. Groups of 6 or more please call ahead and let us know you’re joining us.

At Upper Bench, we invite you to sit, stay, and savor the perfect pairing of our award winning wines and artisan cheese, all crafted right here on the Naramata Bench. Our outdoor restaurant features a Forno Bravo pizza oven, where we create signature Upper Bench pizzas, delectable baked cheese dishes, and artisanal cheeseboards using our very own onsite, hand-crafted cheese.

Please note that while our patio is 19+ only, we are able to accommodate minors inside our shop provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian of legal age.

Due to the intimate size of our space we may not be able accommodate groups larger than 8. We are unable to host bachelor/bachelorette party tours.  Please email info@upperbench.ca for special requests.
